Major customers have exempted our products from quality inspections

ISO 9001:2000

We believe that the quality standard certification of our gravure printing operations is one of the key driving factors of our business. In December 2001, we were awarded the ISO 9001:2000 certification by BVQi, an ISO 9001:2000 certification body. This is in recognition that we have attained the standards set for quality assurance, documentation control and our adherence to good manufacturing practices.

We have not experienced any significant return of finished products from our customers for nonconformity and/or defects for FY2001, FY2002 and FY2003.

Quality Control

We impose quality control checks at key production stages, commencing from the receipt of raw materials from our suppliers to the despatch of finished product to our customers. Quality controls are conducted through both automatic and manual checks as described in the section "Production Stages" above. To meet our quality control standards, we have invested in advanced manufacturing equipment (described under the section entitled "Printing Capacity and Utilisation" below) and use raw materials that conform to our quality standards as well as the requirements of our customers.

Other Certifications

In recognition of the quality standards of our finished products, we have been awarded certain quality awards and status from our customers.

Shanghai Tobacco Group, Nanjing Cigarette Factory and Huaiyin Cigarette Factory have exempted our products from quality inspections because the State Administration for Industry and Commerce ("SAIC") 《工商行政管理局》 awarded us with an inspection exemption status 《免检企业》 in 2003. This means that our products would not need to undergo further quality control checks by our customers. Further, we have been appointed as one of the designated suppliers by several cigarette factories such as Shanghai Tobacco Group, Nanjing Cigarette Factory, Huaiyin Cigarette Factory, Wuhu Cigarette Factory and Xiamen Cigarette Factory since 1999 and were named as one of the excellent suppliers by Shanghai Tobacco Group in 2003.
